Child-Parent-Relationship Training (CPRT)
We strive to help you build a different kind of relationship with your child through the use of play therapy interventions. Play is a child’s most natural way of communicating. Through Child-Parent-Relationship Training (CPRT) parents learn to communicate their child through at-home play sessions. We will provide you with all the skills and support needed to help you strengthen the relationship with your child, as well as reduce problem behaviors at home. CPRT will help your child learn they are capable, important, understood, and accepted, while at the same time learning greater self-control and self-responsibility.
Parent-Child-Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
PCIT is a proven treatment method for children between the ages of 2 and 8 years old and their families. PCIT gives equal attention to the parent-child relationship and to parents’ behavior management skills. PCIT enhances parent-child interactions, improves children’s behavior, and empowers parents to use consistent, predictable, effective parenting strategies. Parents learn specific behavioral and relationship enhancement methods. Parents are offered support, guidance, and encouragement as they learn to build a better relationship while getting their child’s behaviors under better control.
